God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. 'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, But how to dance in the rain. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; They just make the best Of everything they have.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

One hundred years from now it won’t matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank nor what my clothes looked liked. But the world may be a better place because I was important in the life of a child.
HENRY VAN DYKE
“Every house where love abides And friendship is a guest, Is surely home, and home sweet home For there the heart can rest.”
A Grandma will allow her Grand kids to be who they are right now. A Grandma thinks about her Grand kids even if they're not with her. A Grandma loves her Grand kids in a way that no one will ever understand. A Grandma will be there for her Grand kids when no one else will. A Grandma will ask God to take her instead of her Grandchild. A Grandma will still love you 'more' even if her heart is broken.
GENE PERRET
“What a bargain grandchildren are! I give them my loose change, and they give me a million dollars' worth of pleasure.”
ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON
“Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.”
DAVE BARRY
“If a woman has to choose between catching a fly ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose to save the infant's life without even considering if there are men on base.”

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, This person will say or do something to bringthe relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other Relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it.
Friends are like balloons. Once you let them go, you can't get them back.
"May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us."
RALPH ELLISON, "BATTLE ROYAL"
“All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.”
Some people have a wonderful way of putting others at ease. You, say and do the little things, that will comfort and will please. You have special kind of warmth You’re quick to understand. And whenever there is trouble you lend a helping hand. This world of ours is a better place and happier by far. Because there are some special people As wonderful as you are.

“What are Grandmas for? Grandmas are for stories about things of long ago. Grandmas are for caring about all the things you know...Grandmas are for rocking you and singing you to sleep. Grandmas are for giving you nice memories to keep...Grandmas are for knowing all the things you're dreaming off...But, most importantly of all, Grandmas are for LOVE.”
POEM BY THENA SMITH
“Walking with Grandpa, I like to walk with Grandpa His steps are short like mine, He doesn't say "Now hurry up." he always takes his time. I like to walk with Grandpa, his eyes see things like mine do-wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud half hidden drops of dew. Most people have to hurry, they don't stop and see. I'm glad that God made Grandpa, unrushed and young like me.”
