Keeping our 7 year old granddaughter happy and occupied for 12 days as going to be a challenge.  Thankfully it turned out to be a wonderful experience for both of us.

We worked in the garden together.  She pulled out more plants than weeds, but with guidance she started to learn the difference.  She enjoyed watering the new plants that we put in.

We baked up a storm.  The cake tins have never been so filled.  We made cheese scones, cup cakes, Veronique’s chocolate muffins and a Key Lime Pie.

She helped around the house and enjoyed sweeping the wooden floor with my new fancy broom.

Together we started to hand sew a felt shoulder bag.

Norman helped her fly a kite, even though the string got tangled around her legs she had a wonderful time.

She was allowed to use my computer, hence my absence.

Today she stared her holiday programme. The house seems very quiet today no singing, no chatter, no annoying "Woof" our cat.
